Partner.al is currently recruiting a Financial Controller  for a successful Children’s Items Retail Company.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plans financial controls by understanding organization objectives, structure, policies, processes, internal controls, and external regulations; identifying risk areas; preparing controls scope and objectives; preparing controls programs;
  • Assesses compliance with financial regulations and controls by executing controls program steps, testing general ledger, account balances, balance sheets, income statements, and related financial statements; examining and analyzing records, reports, operating practices, and documentation;
  • Assesses risks and internal controls by identifying areas of non-compliance; evaluating manual and automated financial processes; identifying process weaknesses and inefficiencies and operational issues;
  • Controls cash office in every store to be in alliance with the right documentations;
  • Verifies assets and liabilities by comparing and analyzing items and insurance to documentation;
  • Completes controls work papers and memos by documenting controls tests and findings;
  • Communicates controls progress and findings by providing information in status meetings; highlighting unresolved issues; reviewing working papers; preparing final controls;
  • Improves protection by recommending changes in management monitoring, assessment, and motivational practices, in the internal control structure, and in operating processes; identifying root causes;
  • Supports external auditors by coordinating information requirements;
  • Provides financial control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends;
  • Protects organization’s reputation by keeping information confidential;
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required in Finance, Business Administration, Statistics or related field;
  • Work Experiences: At least 3-5 years’ work experience in similar trading company;
  • Work Related Skills: Negotiations Skills, Communications Skills, Public Speaking, Mentoring/Coaching skills;
  • Languages: Excellent verbal and written communication skills of English;
  • Competent computer skills including MS Office or equivalent;
  • Good command of windows based applications especially  MS Office package;
  • Ability to gather analyses and take decision based on data;
  • Internet skills including use of e-mails, group messaging and data collection;
  • The ability to interpret and analyses financial figures and information;
  • Excellent mathematical abilities;
  • Time management skills and the ability to work well to tight deadlines and under pressure;
  • A high level of accuracy and good attention to detail;
  • Knowledge of financial systems;
  • Good problem solving abilities;
  • Ability to coordinate and delegate work to other members of the team;
  • Ability to write reports;
  • The ability to juggle several tasks at once;
  • Integrity and Trust.
